Happy Friday everyone! I made this lovely card for my grandmother with Simon Says Stamp (SSS) Sketched Flowers, which is part of their October card kit…its a stunner.
This card is a relatively simple one layer card. I first took an A2 sized panel of heavy weight white cardstock and stamped the image using SSS Barely Beige ink. I colored the images with Prismacolor pencils (I only have a set of 36). I added a drop shadow and background color with Copic markers in C5, C3 and C1. What card isn’t complete without some splatter! I used Black Soot and Frayed Burlap Distress Oxides. I also used the Frayed Burlap for the birthday sentiment. I adhered the panel to SSS Burnt Orange cardstock… unfortunately you can’t see it but I just didn’t have the heart to trim down that beautiful panel!
To make the matching envelope, I used my We R Memory Keepers Envelope Punchboard. The card stock was 65# Recollections brand from Michaels and I stamped the single flowers and leaves with Frayed Burlap Distress Oxide.
I hope this gives you some inspiration to branch out and use some mediums that you many not feel is your niche. I am still trying to find mine! But all you can do is keep trying different techniques and find what is comfortable for you!
