Waves Of Appreciation For You

Welcome everyone! Today I have a fun card for you using left over pieces of a cover plate die. I love being able to use up all paper pieces so that there isn’t any waste. And I think the pieces I used made the perfect wavy background…What do you think?

For this card, I used the “Sun Flare Window Fancy Die” from Hero Arts. I cut it twice from white cardstock and applied both of the left over/outer pieces to an A2 size card panel. Each piece was turned different ways to create the effect.

Distress oxide in Salvaged Patina and Tea die were ink blended over the panel. I did try to make it a bit darker on the edges and lighter towards the center. For the splatter effect, I used Unicorn White Pigment ink, Ground Espresso Distress Oxide Ink, and Perfect pearls.

While waiting for the panel to dry, the Sea Shell Fancy Dies were cut from white cardstock and some Contour Ink was added for a bit of shading.

I heat embossed the sentiment from “Better Together” on to a strip of white cardstock using the Salvaged Patina ink and clear embossing powder (because the pigment property of Distress Oxides, embossing is very easy to do). I arranged all of my elements and adhered them using liquid adhesive and foam tape for dimension. For a little shine, I also added a few sequins. The finished panel was adhered to an A2 top folding card base in “Paradise”.

Supply List:

I just love the look and all the texture you get with this card. It really does give it a whole new look when using the cover die. I’d love to see your ideas on this technique!

Stay crafty my friends!
