A Blog Named Hero September Challenge

Hi everyone! Today is the start of A Blog Named Hero’s September challenge. If you haven’t already heard, we are doing things a bit different. We are doing all the challenges via Facebook and Instagram. The challenge theme will be announced on both pages and you can use the hashtag #abnhseptemberchallenge to link to your project. By entering, you have the chance to win 1 of 2 gift vouchers to Hero Arts.

Now on to the challenge: Clean and Simple

As easy as it sounds, sometimes I feel like these type of cards can be the hardest to do! I always want to add more and do something different. So that is my challenge…not doing too much.

For this card, I took a panel of white cardstock and put my inks directly to paper and lightly pulled them across the panel. This made that “lined” type of look. The colors of ink were all Hero Hues Reactive inks in: Taffy, Fruit Punch, Creamsicle, Lemon Drop, Green Apple, Splash and Purple Galaxy. I cut the panel down and stamped the sentiment in black ink. I then die cut HUG 3 times from white cardstock and stacked them for dimension.

I used some scrap pieces of cardstock on the back of the HUG panel to add dimension and adhered to a 4 by 5 1/4 inch white panel. I used small strips of glitter cardstock above and below my rainbow HUG for just a touch of sparkle. The finished panel was adhered to an A2 white card base.
