STAMPtember Release: Furry Friends

Welcome back! STAMPtember started not even a week ago but can you believe how much inspiration and amazing product collaborations have come out already? And there is still so much more to come.

Today, I’m focusing on the “Furry Friends” stamp that was release on the 1st. I think this set is absolutely adorable with great sentiments. Now… on to the card!

I used an A2 size panel of Soft Navy cardstock and ink blended white pigment ink and gold ink in the area where the moon would be. I added some darker areas around the sides and corners with Distress Oxide Chipped Sapphire and Black Soot. To add some interest to the background, the panel was then embossed with the “Circle Rings” embossing folder.

For the moon and stars, I “ink smooshed” white cardstock into Distress Oxide Fossilized Amber and Scattered Straw along with Perfect Pearls Pearl and Gold colors. This creates that glowing look. I then cut the stars with the Magic Stars die and the moon using 2 circle dies.

Using black ink, I stamped the adorable kitty and colored it with Copic markers. The colors were: RV000, C0, C1, C3 and Special Black 110. Since I had the idea of putting the cat sleeping in the moon, I also added Y11 and Y02 on the lower half to simulate the glow from the moon. I then fussy cut the image. I stamped the sentiment on Soft Navy cardstock using embossing ink and white embossing powder. To make sure it was cut evenly, I used the nested banner dies. I adhered all the elements to the embossed panel using liquid adhesive. I did put a small amount of foam behind the sentiment for a little dimension. The finished panel was added to a A2 card base.

I hope you are enjoying STAMPtember as much as I am! Thank you for visiting today. I hope that you are finding time to stay crafty!
