Spellbinders Cardmaker II “Love Never Fails”

Welcome everyone! I apologize for not posting lately. I hurt my shoulder/arm, got a yucky head cold and then it was the start of the Holiday season. But the good news is that my arm and head are feeling better!

Today, I have a beautiful set of cards using the Spellbinders Cardmaker II “Love Never Fails” stamp set. I kept everything quite simple so they would be easy to mass produce. And the best part is….no masking either!

I started with 5 panels of Neenah Solar White cardstock cut to 4 by 5 1/4 inches. I decided how I wanted to arrange the sentiments, stamped them in black pigment ink and heat set with clear embossing powder. Heat embossing the sentiment eliminates the need to mask…which is a huge time saver. I also kept all of the colors the same for all of the cards. I arranged the flowers and greenery around the sentiment and stamped using various shades of ink. This set is great because you can use the flowers separately or layer them as I did.

For a pop of shine to the cards, I added a bit of brass embossing powder for the centers of the flowers. These cards have quite a bit of white space. To add a little bit of interest, I simply used by score board to add embossed lines to different areas. I did make sure that I did not score over my flowers but I think that it would still look great if you did! I used some back cardstock to produce a thin matte around my panel and adhered the finish panels onto top fold or side fold A2 white card bases.

Here are some individual close ups of the cards.

I hope you all have a great day today and thanks for visiting my blog!
