Simon Says Stamp DieCember “Sketched Rose Wreath”

It is here! My most favorite time of year…DieCember! I think I may like it better than Stamptember but don’t tell anyone. I can’t even tell you how amazing these dies are. If you’d like to see the whole collection, you can see it here.

Today, I have a clean floral card using a new hot foil plate called “Sketched Rose Wreath”. This die is great. It is one piece and includes the foil and cut set. There is no worry about lining things up… It’s very easy and it cuts everything all at once. Let’s take a look at the card!

I used the “Sketched Rose Wreath” in my Glimmer machine with gold foil making 2 wreaths. I used Simon Says Stamp (SSS) white 120lb cardstock. It is very smooth and I got very little over foiling. If over foiling happens, a good sand eraser works very well. I proceeded to cut the images out using the cut die set (This will cut the wreath and individual leaves/flowers). I colored all of my images using Copic markers. The leaves were colored using: G99 and YG95; The flowers were R22, R32 and R02.

I took an extra panel of white smooth cardstock and hot foiled a regular die! Yup you heard the right…you can foil with your regular dies to get the most out of your supplies. I created a boarder with SSS Stitched Rectangles. It really just gives it that “extra”. To my stitched panel, I added both wreaths and off set them a bit to look fuller and arranged my flowers. I cut the “Hugs” sentiment twice from white cardstock and once from gold matte cardstock. I adhered everything together with liquid glue. For a final little touch, small “crystals” were added for the flower centers. The finished panel was added to an A2 top folding card base.

Supply List:

I can’t wait to see all the amazing inspiration from this release. There will be a blog hop on December 2nd and 3rd, a Facebook live stream December 3rd at 12 EST, and an Instagram Hop on December 10th. Many other designers will also be posting inspiration so be on the look out!

Have a great day everyone and stay crafty!
