Hello and welcome! Today, I am using the gorgeous “Open Windows” dies to create the cozy window scene. I hope you enjoy it!
I started this card with a panel of sand cardstock and die cut the window out. The panel (minus the window) was embossed every 1/2 inch using a score board. I then took white pigment ink and ran it along the embossed lines for a “farm house” style. I used the window die again and cut from Pitch Black and Dove White cardstock. I adhered a small piece of vellum for the window and layered the black for the shutters and white for the window frame. The panel was cut down to 4 inches by 4 inches.
The window was inlaid into the sand piece. I adhered a small piece of white to the back of the window and matted the panel onto black cardstock. I die cut the flower box twice from white cardstock along with many flowers and greenery. I colored the flowers, greenery and box using Copic markers (Please see supply list for colors). I began layering flowers onto one flower box, adhering the top flower box, and added more flowers for a dimensional look.
The “Welcome Home” sentiment and frame is from the Signpost Stamp and Cut XL. I simply cut the square sign in black and sand. For the sand piece, I cut the outside frame edge off. The sentiment was stamped in Intensified Black Ink. I adhered all the pieces to an A2 side fold white cardbase.
