Simon Says Stamp DieCember Instagram Hop

Thanks for visiting me today. I am participating in an Instagram Hop for Simon Says Stamp’s DieCember release. There will be lots of inspiration so please see my Instagram post for all the details! There will be a $25 gift card winner for each post in the hop…Lot’s of chances to win!

I had so much fun making this card. I decided to try something new to me and hot foil regular dies onto vellum. It worked with no problem and very little over foiling! If there was any, I just used a sand eraser…easy peasy.

I started with a panel of vellum that was about 4 1/4 by 5 1/2. I followed the same directions as using a hot foil plate but used the “Stars” dies and Spellbinders hot foil in silver. I made an edge to edge shaker by adhering strong double sided adhesive to the back of a purple panel that was cut to 4 by 5 1/4 inches. I adhered 3 sides, added my shaker sequins, and then closed the last side.

I cut the “Just Because” sentiment from glitter cardstock and two times from white to create dimension. And just because I couldn’t get enough sparkle, I used a sentiment strip and some beautiful holographic foil. I adhered the sentiments at a slight angle for some fun! For that last little touch, the “Stars” dies were cut from holographic cardstock and adhered to the shaker. The finished panel was adhered to an A2 top folding purple card base.

Supply List:

I hope you enjoyed by card for today! Have a great day and stay crafty!
