Hero Arts February Add On Inspiration

I hope you are enjoying all of the inspiration for the February My Monthly Hero (MMH) Kit. Don’t forget to join the blog hop for a chance to win a gift card to Hero Arts!

Today, I have some inspiration for you using the add-ons for this month. I am in love with these! They are so whimsical and dreamy. Let’s get to my card!

Who doesn’t love a whale swimming through space?!

I started with a panel of white cardstock measuring 4 by 5 1/4 inches. I masked off the panel and left a circle opening about mid-center of the card. Reactive inks in Blue Hawaii, Splash, Pool Party, Purple Galaxy, Berry Smoothie, and Intense Black Ink were blended in the circle. Water and Gold Perfect Pearls were spattered onto the masked panel for a starry look. The mask was peeled off and set aside to dry.

I cut the whale, moon, star and cloud dies from the Dream Accessories Fancy Dies from white cardstock. All images were colored with Copic markers (Please see supply list for colors). I also added a bit of Gold Perfect Pearls to the moon and Perfect Pearls to the star for a bit of shine. Extra die cuts were added behind the whale and moon for dimension but you could also do just one layer.

I stamped the sentiment from the Dream Messages onto my panel and heat embossed with Gold embossing powder. I adhered all of the elements using liquid glue. For just a bit more sparkle, I used a few shiny sequins. The finished panel was matted with some black cardstock to make it pop and adhered to an A2 side folding card base. I really love how the elements are inside and outside of the “space” area.
