Simon Says Stamp “Hello Gorgeous” Release Inspo!

Hello and welcome! Simon Says Stamp (SSS) has a fun new release out today that is filled with gorgeous spring images. I don’t know about you but I am ready for the warmer weather and fun days outside.

I used the SSS Sweet Birds stamp set for a fun spring time card. Let’s get started!

SSS Sweet Birds

I first stamped the blue jay bird onto some Neenah 80 pound cardstock. I get such great results with this cardstock. The bird comes in multiple pieces so you can ink it in all the colors. For my bird, I used Pink Fresh inks in: Sapphire, Blue Jay, Seaside, and Skyblue. The black was a bold pigment ink. I fussy cut the image out and set aside.

I used an A2 panel of white cardstock to ink blend the clouds using SSS Clouds For Days stencil with Pink Fresh Sky Blue ink. I added the branch and leaves that are included in the “Sweet Birds” set with Pink Fresh Gathered Twigs, Grassy Knoll and Key lime. I didn’t bother to mask any areas which makes for a pretty easy background.

I added the blue jay to the branch with some foam tape for dimension. I also cut some pink flowers with the Mini Flowers and Leaves die. I added some small gems for the flower centers that I had in my stash. The Spring Blessings sentiment was cut once from a foiled blue cardstock and once from white. I adhered them together for more of a dimensional look. The finished panel was adhered to a side fold A2 white card base.
