Simon Says Stamp “Happy And Joyful” Release

Welcome back everyone! Today is the release of Simon Says Stamp’s (SSS) Happy and Joyful collection. It is filled with all things to celebrate and beautiful spring time images. For my card inspiration, I used a few new items, some older ones, and fun techniques for this stunning card.

I began with a panel of Neenah cardstock and ink blended Pink Fresh inks in: Ocean Breeze, Lemon Whip, and Coral Reef. Using white pigment ink, I stamped the “You Matter” background onto the blended panel. I made sure that the background was completely dry before moving to my next step. I used an antistatic powder tool, embossing ink and clear embossing powder to stamp the “Flower Frenzy” background and heat set.

A scallop frame die was used to cut white cardstock and the inked panel was cut down to fit just inside the stitched edges. This was about 3.75 by 5 inches. I used silver hot foil and the new “Sketched Leaf Branches” to create the leaves behind the sentiment.

The sentiment was cut from black cardstock once and white 3 times to create some nice dimension. I also cut the shadow from white cardstock 2 times. I used a sparkle pen for just a little bit of shine.

All of the elements were added with Craft Tacky glue and a sprinkling of dewdrops were added for the final touches.

Thanks for joining me. Have a great and crafty day!
