Simon Says Stamp Happy And Joyful IG Hop

Hello crafty friends! Today, Simon Says Stamp (SSS) is doing an Instagram hop from their newest release “Happy And Joyful”. My card inspiration uses a few new products and a fun “glazed” background.

I started with a panel of white cardstock that was cut to 3 1/2 by 4 3/4 inches. I added embossing ink and Distress Glaze in Cracked Pistachio and Broken China. I continued adding embossing ink and glaze until I had about 5 layers. Gold embossing powder was sprinkled into the last layer for a hint of sparkle. A white panel was cut using the largest A2 Marquee Die. These layers were adhered together with liquid glue.

I used the Sketched Leaf branches hot foil plate with Spellbinders gold foil. It was die cut using the coordinating die. I adhered this to the glazed background using strong double sided tape. This adhered really well to the glaze. I cut the hello die 3 times from white cardstock and adhered them together for some dimension. This was added to the background with a strong liquid glue which also worked well but took a bit longer to dry.

I added a sentiment strip for a secondary sentiment and added some gold baubles to the background. The finished panel was adhered to an A2 panel of Peacock Teal cardstock and added to a white side fold card base.

I love the look of this panel. To me it looks like the ocean with waves and ripples. And it is so shiny! Thanks for visiting me today and don’t forget to check out my Instagram for more great inspiration. And don’t forget to comment on the hop for your chance to win a great prize from Simon Says Stamp!
