I am so excited to share with you that I am a guest designer for September and October for Reverse Confetti! Today, we are counting down to the new release on September 16th with a sneak peek of the “Hello Bootiful” set. This set is absolutely adorable! I made 2 cards to share with you.
I started by cutting a piece of masking paper with a circle die and placed it in the upper right corner of my 3 3/4 by 5 inch panel of Bristol Smooth cardstock. Dark blue inks were blended around the moon (the lightest closest to the moon to give it a glowing effect). Perfect pearls were added to water and splattered onto the panel. I removed the mask and added some gold perfect pearls to the moon. Doesn’t it look like its glowing?! I gold heat embossed my sentiment on the bottom, added a very thin dark blue matte, and set the panel aside.
I stamped and die cut the ghosts, pumpkin, spider, and web. I used just a bit of light grey coloring to the ghosts and colored my pumpkin in traditional colors. The ink blended panel was added to a top fold A2 card base. I then adhered all of the die cut elements with liquid adhesive.
For my second card, I had to do some purple ink blending. For me, purple is the most perfect Halloween color. I used Bristol smooth cardstock again and blended lighter on top going into darker purple. When my panel was fully dry, the trick or treat sentiment was silver heat embossed on the lower half. I stamped and die cut the ghosts, moon and stars. I added a bit of light grey coloring to the ghosts and colored the stars and moon in yellow.
I directly stamped small yellow stars onto my A2 white card base. I wanted the stars to peak out from behind the panel. I added the ink blended piece to the cardbase using liquid adhesive and added my elements. For just a bit more sparkle, a silver sparkle pen was used to add small dots or “stars” to the background.
I hope you enjoyed this sneak peek! Don’t forget to comment on all the designers posts. Reverse Confetti will be giving a $15 prize for a blog commenter and also one for Facebook. Comments will close at noon CST on September 15th and the winner will be announced at 5pm on September 15th on the Reverse Confetti Blog and Facebook page.
