Reverse Confetti Countdown To Confetti Day 2

Thanks for joining me again for Reverse Confetti’s Countdown To Confetti (CTC) Day 2. Today, we are featuring the “Autumn Sentiments” and “Fall Foliage” sets. For my cards, I also used two other new items: “gather” hot foil plate and a “window” die.

Starting with a 4 by 5 1/4 inch panel of tan cardstock, I used my score board to emboss lines at every 1/2 inch. I then swiped brown ink across the panel. The debossed lines stay the original color giving the look of wood planks. I also added some white splatters for a worn look. I cut the window die twice from white cardstock and adhered them together for dimension. The outer most part of the die was cut from vellum and adhered with the window. This was added to the “wood” panel.

The “Fall Foliage” leaves were stamped with black ink and colored with Copic markers in beautiful fall colors. The “gather” sentiment was gold hot foiled and die cut using the coordinating die (I actually used the reverse foiled image. I felt it stood out more from the background). I stamped the sub-sentiment onto a small piece of white cardstock and cut to size. All elements were adhered to the panel with liquid adhesive and added to a side folding A2 card base. A sprinkling of clear sequins were added to the background for just a bit of shine.

For my second inspirational card, I started with a panel of green cardstock. The window was die cut once from white cardstock and then cut in half. I added each half upside down to the background. The outer window die was cut from white cardstock and vellum. I chose to hot foil the “gather” sentiment directly to the vellum and it came out beautifully. The “Fall Foliage” leaves were stamped in black ink and colored using alcohol markers. I added a bit of white highlights using a gel pen. All of my elements were adhered with liquid glue. I made sure to hide the glue behind the leaves so it would not show through the vellum. A few gold sequins finished the panel of this card and it was added to an A2 white card base.

I hope you enjoyed this sneak peek! Don’t forget to comment on all the designers posts. Reverse Confetti will be giving a $15 prize for a blog commenter and also one for Facebook. Comments will close at noon CST on September 15th and the winner will be announced at 5pm on September 15th on the Reverse Confetti Blog and Facebook page.
