Reverse Confetti Countdown To Confetti Day 3

We are almost at the full reveal of Reverse Confetti’s new release on September 16th! Until then, we are here with day 3 of sneak peeks. Let’s start with the stunning “Poinsettia” set.

Starting with a green panel of cardstock, I stamped the whole “Christmas Sentiments” set using green ink. I thought this would make a great background and they were already lined up. I then ink blended around the edges for a slight spotlight and splattered gold perfect pearls. The panel was set aside to dry. The Poinsettia was stamped with my MISTI in a light ink and colored with Copic markers. Since I kept the stamps in my stamping tool, it was quite easy to re-stamp the images with embossing ink and heat set with gold embossing powder .

All of the images were die cut and adhered to the green panel with liquid glue and foam tape for dimension. The beautiful “christmas” sentiment was hot foiled in gold and die cut with the coordinating die. I added 2 extra die cuts behind the “chrismas” so it would really stand out.

I decided to keep this card pretty clean and simple by stamping the Poinsettia in light grey ink on white cardstock. I cut the large “Joy To The World” die from red foil and white woodgrain cardstocks. For a bit of a shadow, I offset the white layer from the red layer. I really think it makes it pop! The pine needles were stamped in an olive ink and die cut.

The sub-sentiment was stamped in the same green ink as the pine needles. The Joy to the world, and pine needles were adhered to the white panel. A few gold baubles were added around the sentiment to highlight it. The finished white panel was added to a red A2 card base.

I hope you enjoyed this sneak peek! Don’t forget to comment on all the designers posts. Reverse Confetti will be giving a $15 prize for a blog commenter and also one for Facebook. Comments will close at noon CST on September 15th and the winner will be announced at 5pm on September 15th on the Reverse Confetti Blog and Facebook page.

  1. GAAAAAAAAAAA! You are CRUSHING it, Meg! I love the subtle but still very clear shadow layers on your second card. Really attractive visually. And that poinsettia card is also a beauty… love the text behind it, the coloring and the embossing. Both are just lovely.
