My cards for you today include a 2 for 1 idea that really worked out perfectly. It was a happy accident if I’m totally being honest. Same background, same inks with two totally different looks.

To make the background panels:

  1. Apply white pigment ink to the background stamp and stamp onto an A2 black cardstock panel.
  2. Let pigment ink dry (or heat set) before moving to next step.
  3. Apply Reactive inks onto background stamp making sure to blend between colors.
  4. Stamp onto the black panel on top of the white pigment ink. Set aside.
  5. Lightly spray the background stamp with water to activate the left over inks.
  6. Stamp onto watercolor paper or Bristol smooth paper (I let mine sit for a few minutes before lifting).

Card 1

  1. Trim inked panel to 4 by 5 1/4 inches and add a black matte behind it.
  2. Cut a strip of black cardstock (Mine was just under 2 inches).
  3. Stamp moon, sun and planet from the kit with embossing ink and heat set with gold embossing powder.
  4. Add sentiment with embossing ink and heat set with white embossing powder.
  5. Adhere black cardstock strip to inked panel and trim excess from top and bottom if needed.
  6. Die cut clouds from white cardstock and adhere with liquid glue.
  7. Add the finished panel to a top folding A2 top folding white card base.

Supply List:

Card 2

  1. Trim inked panel to 4 by 5 1/4 inches
  2. Using black ink, stamp the stars included in the kit and die cut with the coordinating die.
  3. Color stars with Copic markers or your favorite coloring medium.
  4. Stamp the sentiment with black ink onto white cardstock and trim to size.
  5. Add foam or extra cardstock pieces to the back of the sentiment for dimension. Adhere to the panel
  6. Using liquid glue, add the stars at different lengths under the sentiment.
  7. Add the finished panel to a A2 top folding white card base.

I really wanted to keep this card quite simple. I thought the background was so pretty I couldn’t bear to cover it up too much!

  1. The rainbow space card is my favorite! The bold background stamp is fabulous, my favorite element in the entire release/add-ons…so many possibilities with that one! Beam me up, Scottie🚀
