There is a fantastic window die, carrying through the theme of fruits and vegetables. Also included are two of our brand new Neon Brights Liquid Watercolors for you to try, and a set of mini watercolor brushes. The kit is rounded out with an ink cube and a generous amount of watercolor paper and cardstock.

So incredible right? I am absolutely loving how Hero has given us kit options. For my card today, I just used the classic kit. But I definitely think that you could use the same technique or some of the cool Neon Brights Liquid Watercolors. With that being said, let’s get to the card.

  1. Cut a 7 1/2 by 4 1/4 panel of Orange cardstock.
  2. Score at 1/2 inch and 1 inch from the side.
  3. You can then fold the scored areas or wait until after the next 2 steps.
  4. Using the background stamp from the kit, stamp the front with Papaya ink. Leave the stamp in your platform.
  5. Cut a window using a circle die from the middle of the front panel. You can now fold the scored areas again or if you didn’t already do so. Adhere supports to the sides if using light cardstock.
  6. Stamp a white panel of cardstock just slight smaller than 4 1/4 by 5 1/2 inches with the same background stamp. I thought the card needed some interest to the background window. You could also keep this plain. I used a light color so it didn’t distract too much but lined up with the front panel.
  7. Add a piece of acetate to the back of the orange panel and across the window.
  8. Adhere the white panel to a strong card base and add the orange panel. The stamped panel should only be glued at the top and bottom 1/2 inch areas.
  9. Stamp and die cut the orange and lemon. Color with your favorite medium.
  10. Stamp the sentiment and fussy cut.
  11. Adhere the elements to the side of the window and the sentiment to the acetate piece.
Check out that dimension!

I really think this is such a fun card with lots of dimension. It does fold down nicely to fit into an envelope.

  3. Cute and fun card! Am Loving the mixed media and stamping combo for these kits! You sound a lot like me – a child, spouse, and mother of veterans. When asked where I’m from I say do you want my last address, my parents address or where I was born? 🙂
