Simon Says Stamp Diecember Inspiration: Shaker Card

Hello everyone!

Today I have a shaker card for you with the adorable Ice Skating Girl from Simon Says Stamp (SSS). In case you are already done (or tired) of holiday cards… this one is for you!

I started by die cutting the adorable background paper with stitched dies and embossed the sentiment with platinum embossing powder and heat set. I cut a frame from white cardstock using the same stitched dies and adhered some plastic packaging using tape runner adhesive.

I took a felt heart and added some thread to it making a string for the “balloon”. I die cut 2 Ice Skating Girl images from heavy weight white cardstock and adhered them with liquid glue, sandwiching the string in between the layers. The girl and balloon were added to the clear plastic packaging with tape runner adhesive.

I added some foam adhesive to the frame, making sure to have the adhesive tight together so no shaker bits can get out. I added heart confetti bits to the middle of the background panel and added the frame sealing everything in. The whole shaker panel was adhered to an A2 size card base made from Desert Storm cardstock.

I hope you are enjoying Diecember as much as I am. Everything is so adorable and there is so much inspiration! You can shop the new release here.
