Simon Says Stamp- Fresh Bloom Release

FB_IMG_1551898212151Hello crafty friends! I’m so excited about Simon Says Stamp (SSS) newest release titled “Fresh Bloom”. You can shop the full release here.

Today, I have a card for you featuring the amazing “Spring Blessings” die. It’s a beautiful script and a perfect size. I absolutely love how it looks in glitter cardstock!

I started by ink blending a strip of Bristol Smooth paper with Distress Oxide ink in the colors: Abandoned Coral, Wild Honey and Squeezed Lemonade. When the inked strip was dry, I used my powder tool and then stamped flower and foliage images from SSS “Moments of Grace” stamp set with Versamark ink. I then used Sterling embossing powder and heat set. To achieve a lighter colored area inside the flowers, I used a water pen to add water and I let it sit for a few minutes. I used a clean paper towel to soak up the water and voila!

I used an embossing folder by Sissix and Doodle Bug for the cute little polka dot strip of white cardstock. I added these elements to an A2 (4 1/4 by 5 1/2 inch) folded white card base using liquid glue. I used the “Spring Blessings” die on a piece of white fun foam and gorgeous glitter cardstock. This cardstock cuts like a dream and the colors give me big heart emoji eyes! The sentiment was added to the fun foam and base with liquid glue. For that little extra touch, I added some colored gems from my stash to the inked panel.

This card really makes me think of spring with the warm colors and flowered images. I feel like it is just very classy, clean and simple.

I will have more inspiration here and on my Instagram account (located below) for this newest release. You can also follow the hashtags: #SSSFreshBloom and #SimonSaysStamp.
