Our May release celebrates the freedom and joy of childhood! And what child, young or old, doesn’t love riding their bike, breathing the fresh air with wind in their hair? This Premium Kit includes a 6″ x 8″ stamp set featuring Color Layering bicycles as well as the elements to decorate them, including items for the basket, pets and balloons or flags to hang off the back. The set is also full of useful sentiments in a convenient message strip font. There are coordinating dies, as well as a fabulous flower stencil for decorating your card background, or even your envelope! Three pigment ink cubes in happy colors, clear embossing powder, and two colors of glitter paper complete the list of items also available in the Classic version of this kit. We are excited to include a three-piece die set as the star of this upgraded Premium version of the kit. Each die can be used on its own, or combine them for creating an adorable layered scene. Our Hero Transfers have proven to be a huge hit thanks to their versatility and ease of use, and this kit includes four sheets of colorful bicycle and flower rub-ons, perfect for your cards, envelopes, planners, journals and more! The dies that coordinate with the 6″ x 8″ stamp set also loosely line up with the transfers – not exactly, but they may prove to be “close enough” depending on your project. Rounding out the kit are two sheets of fabulously cool holographic paper.

I get all of the spring/summer vibes with this kit. I absolutely love the bike and the “layering” that you can do with the frame and wheels.

Today, I have 2 cards for you… one from each kit. I hope you like them! I was in a very “Clean” mood with lots of white space for these cards.

The “Classic” kit:

  1. Make a top folding white card based sized 4 1/4 by 5 1/2 inches.
  2. Cut the front flap down to 2 3/4 inches.
  3. Using white scraps sized 3/4 inches, arrange 3 vertical along the top of the card. Cut off excess. Use 3 more scraps and adhere 2 horizontal. Cut off excess. This forms a lattice card.
  4. Cut a panel of Paradise cardstock to 2 3/4 inches. Ink blend Pool Party ink through the stencil from the kit. Stamp clouds with white pigment ink.
  5. Cut grass using the die and adhere to the blue panel.
  6. Add extra white scraps onto the back of the blue panel so it will be level over the lattice strips. Adhere to the top half of the card base.
  7. Die cut the bike and then stamp using black, butter bar and soft granite.
  8. Stamp and die cut the flowers and smaller flowers for the basket (Pool Party and Butter Bar were used).
  9. Stamp the sentiment in black ink and adhere to one of the lattice strips. Add flowers using foam tape and liquid glue.
  10. Add the bike to the top of the panel with foam tape and adhere the small flowers in the basket.

Supply List:

I am really loving this lattice look! It is really fun and give the card a very unique look.

The “Premium” Kit:

  1. Cut a panel of white cardstock to 3 by 4 inches.
  2. Ink blend light blues and purples. I used Reactive inks.
  3. Die cut the silhouette out of black cardstock and adhere to the ink blended panel. Cut off any extra.
  4. Stamp the sentiment in white pigment ink and add white embossing powder then heat set.
  5. Cut a matte panel from gray cardstock and adhere the silhouette panel.
  6. Die Cut the hear balloon from black cardstock and adhere to the backside of the bike.
  7. Add clouds by die cutting white cardstock.
  8. Using a top folding cardbase, dry emboss using the stencil to add texture and interest to the background.
  9. Adhere the finished panel to the embossed card front.

Supply List:

I just love that black silhouette against that pretty blended sky. The dry embossing with the stencil really gives some beautiful texture to the background.
