I get all of the spring/summer vibes with this kit. I absolutely love the bike and the “layering” that you can do with the frame and wheels.
Today, I have 2 cards for you… one from each kit. I hope you like them! I was in a very “Clean” mood with lots of white space for these cards.
The “Classic” kit:
- Make a top folding white card based sized 4 1/4 by 5 1/2 inches.
- Cut the front flap down to 2 3/4 inches.
- Using white scraps sized 3/4 inches, arrange 3 vertical along the top of the card. Cut off excess. Use 3 more scraps and adhere 2 horizontal. Cut off excess. This forms a lattice card.
- Cut a panel of Paradise cardstock to 2 3/4 inches. Ink blend Pool Party ink through the stencil from the kit. Stamp clouds with white pigment ink.
- Cut grass using the die and adhere to the blue panel.
- Add extra white scraps onto the back of the blue panel so it will be level over the lattice strips. Adhere to the top half of the card base.
- Die cut the bike and then stamp using black, butter bar and soft granite.
- Stamp and die cut the flowers and smaller flowers for the basket (Pool Party and Butter Bar were used).
- Stamp the sentiment in black ink and adhere to one of the lattice strips. Add flowers using foam tape and liquid glue.
- Add the bike to the top of the panel with foam tape and adhere the small flowers in the basket.
Supply List:
- My Monthly Hero May 2023 Classic Kit
- Dove White Cardstock
- Paradise Cardstock
- Inks: Reactive Pool Party, Butter Bar, Intensified Black, and Soft Granite
I am really loving this lattice look! It is really fun and give the card a very unique look.
The “Premium” Kit:
- Cut a panel of white cardstock to 3 by 4 inches.
- Ink blend light blues and purples. I used Reactive inks.
- Die cut the silhouette out of black cardstock and adhere to the ink blended panel. Cut off any extra.
- Stamp the sentiment in white pigment ink and add white embossing powder then heat set.
- Cut a matte panel from gray cardstock and adhere the silhouette panel.
- Die Cut the hear balloon from black cardstock and adhere to the backside of the bike.
- Add clouds by die cutting white cardstock.
- Using a top folding cardbase, dry emboss using the stencil to add texture and interest to the background.
- Adhere the finished panel to the embossed card front.
Supply List:
- My Monthly Hero Premium May 2023
- Pitch Black Cardstock
- Dove White Cardstock
- White Embossing Powder
- White Pigment Ink
- Reactive Inks: Pool Party, Splash, Thistle, and Blue Hawaii
I just love that black silhouette against that pretty blended sky. The dry embossing with the stencil really gives some beautiful texture to the background.
