Simon Says Stamp “Kisses” Release Inspiration

Welcome crafty friends and thank you for joining me today with the Simon Says Stamp “Kisses” release! It is filled with lots of fun heart and love products just in time for Valentine’s Day. If you haven’t checked out the full release yet, you can see it here.

My inspiration for you includes the “Four Flakes” stencil and “Nested Round Hearts” dies. Let’s check out the card and how I made it!

  1. Ink blend Saltwater Taffy and Shaded Lilac Distress Oxide onto a panel of white cardstock.
  2. Ink blend a darker shade through the stencil (Villainous Potion and Worn Lipstick) in various positions.
  3. Ink blend white pigment ink through the stencil overlapping the snowflakes.
  4. Realign the stencil over the white pigment snowflakes and lightly blend on perfect pearls for a shiny snowflake.
  5. Using the heart dies, cut one from white cardstock and stamp a sentiment (Snowflake Seasons) with black ink.
  6. Cut a larger heart from glitter paper. I like to match mine to a color in the background.
  7. Adhere both hearts together.
  8. Make a top folding card base from white cardstock and adhere the inked panel.
  9. Cut down card 1/4 inch on one side to allow the heart to hang off and fit into an A2 envelope.
  10. Adhere heart to card font with 1/4 inch off the edge.

I love how layering the snowflake creates a bokeh effect. I think that it’s really pretty. The slight overhang of the heart on the side also gives it a unique look.
